The Theory of Evolution and its implications (and IV)

And it ended up with the Theory of Evolution. We were still left without knowing who wins with all this life. That is, that life exists rather than not exist? We have the luck / misfortune we live on a planet / environment really full of life everywhere, while we were living well, but be aware that life is something quite rare in the universe we know. To this, many will give an answer philosophical / metaphysical / religious / pragmatic.

To some, they may have in mind (and that too many interpretations of various religious books take you to it) that the purpose of life is the man (OK, and women and / as elderly / as , and the children 's as well). Come on, that God put us here so we were happy (and a little unhappy also, that all there), and for that because I think all sorts of living and nonliving things around us so that we were entertained. And many more.

Now for the answer that gives us the Theory of Evolution (post-genetics): life exists because the genes so they last longer. And the genes are the true beneficiaries of this vital history. In fact, they are so central and important, that all biological diversity could find nothing but receptacles sophisticated protection of genes. The fact of having developed eyes, ears, consciousness, feelings of love, invent Stratego, playing guitar, smile, run 100 meters, scared, etc etc are just forms that have these genes survive and reproduce more and better.

This is a huge issue, because suddenly the theory presents us with the ultimate aim of all acts performed by any living thing in the universe (including humans). Behind all currents of thought, historical revolutionary movements, behind the extension of the Amazon, behind that unforgettable weekend, behind the murder of an innocent, behind the rise at 7 to run or to brush after eating something common: our genes are to remain.
