The fact of having developed eyes, ears, consciousness, feelings of love, invent Stratego, playing guitar, smile, run 100 meters, scared, etc etc are just forms that have these genes survive and reproduce more and better.
This is a huge issue, because suddenly the theory presents us with the ultimate aim of all acts performed by any living thing in the universe (including humans). Behind all currents of thought, historical revolutionary movements, behind the extension of the Amazon, behind that unforgettable weekend, behind the murder of an innocent, behind the rise at 7 to run or to brush after eating something common: our genes are to remain.
